Hello, my name is Jamie. I am a soon to be graduate of the New Life Women's Center...Woo Hoo! Growing up for me wasn't easy, but I don't think growing up for anyone is easy. Due to al of my past issues as a child, I started to use drugs and dropped out of school at the age of seventeen. By the time I was eighteen, I was using drugs heavily and they had pretty much taken over my life. As a result, in January 2007, I tried to commit suicide but was unsuccessful, thank God! I finally came to the end of myself after going in and out of jail. I realized that I needed help and that something was missing. New Life showed me what I was lacking in my life, a close, personal relationship with God.
Not long ago, I had the opportunity to go to Dallas to tour Christ for the Nations Bible Institute (CFNI) and I realized that is where I need to be. Christ for the Nations is a three year Bible school that teaches strictly on the tings of God. I would like to go to CFNI because I would of course love to learn more about God and His Word, but I also believe that it would be a great transitional stop for me. At, CFNI, I Would be able to continue to grow in learning His Word and be in a Godly environment so I won't be able to backslide so easily. Most importantly, it will be a good place to figure out where God wants to place me in His ministry, because I know that I have the call of God on my life.
I will be graduating from the New Life Center on July 13, 2008, and plan to go to CFNI on August 11, 2008. The total cost for the first year is $6,930.00 and I am asking for your help in making this possible. Since I have been in the New Life program for the past thirteen months I have not been able to work or save money. I have gained knowledge and understanding of the importance of having a good work ethic and being responsible and I will be getting a job just as soon as school begins. Since coming to New Life I also learned that there are consequences for sin and I have to take responsibility for my actions. I have been very humbled to find myself in this position and would be eternally grateful for your support. I pray that you will consider helping me with the first year's tuition. I will be working to cover all other expenses as well as save for the next year's tuition. I would like for you to be involved in every part of this experience in my life and therefore my grades will be available for you so that I may be held accountable. You will also receive a tax-deductable receipt for your donation from CFNI.
