Newlife Students Return from Mission Trip to Africa
The New Life students and staff safely returned on November 28, 2007 from their mission's trip to Nairobi and Mombassa, Kenya!
During our mission we visited an orphanage called Praise Gates for children whose parents had died from HIV. Many of the children themselves face fighting the HIV virus they contracted from their parents. We visited Kilifi Village where Faith Evangelistic Ministries provides a feeding center for children to come daily to receive free meals. Some children only eat that one time a day.
The team met with a Massai tribe and learned about their cultures and traditions. We were able to take food, drink, candy, and stuffed animals to the Maasai children. Most of the children had never seen a stuffed toy! What a tremendous experience!
We also had the once in a lifetime opportunity to go on a safari and see God's creation in its natural surroundings. We saw creatures we didn't even know existed! God has such an imagination!
We want to thank you for your contributions that made this LIFE CHANGING trip possible! The ladies are forever grateful and you will have eternal rewards in heaven!
